Context

The Hoshizaki work spans two connected operating contexts: daily production leadership for a 30+ person commercial refrigeration team, then global RMA and repair ownership for field-returned units.

The same habits carried through both roles. Training, handoffs, ISO compliance, Kaizen records, diagnosis, repair, and documentation became a repeatable loop that helped production and returned-unit workflows move with better clarity.

Constraints

  • Daily production had to stay coordinated across a 30+ person commercial refrigeration team
  • Returned units required accurate diagnosis before repair work could scale
  • Field failures had to become process feedback rather than one-off fixes
  • Testing and handoff needed to stay compliant and repeatable

Outcomes

  • Coordinated 30+ employees through record-high production and quality periods
  • Led global field-unit returns with record turnaround improvements
  • Diagnosed and repaired complex electro-mechanical issues across product lines
  • Reduced defect and malfunction rates through structured process improvement
  • Built and repaired specialized equipment, jigs, and fixtures for production support
